Chapter 1:
Adeline Bennet
I've never really had anything huge and exciting happen to me. I mean, I'm just a normal, everyday girl. I've always wished that one day I'd live out my dream of being a fashion designer, but I don't know if I'm outrageous enough. I'm simple with style. I've been pretty lucky with boys. Josh Taylor, a sweet, charming, and not to mention, hot boy liked me for five years. Until all of a sudden, he decided he was done with me. I'll never know why. I've had some boy problems, though. Here. Grab a seat and let me explain. It was the summer of eighth grade...
"Wake up, honey," said mom.
"What? I'ts summer. why are you getting me up so early?" I replied groggily.
"Um, sweetie, it's 10:30."
"What?!" I scrambled to get ready.
You see, since it was summer, usually I would have nothing to do, but today was a special day. This new family was moving in down the street. Whenever anyone moves in, I try to make their move more comfortable. I've done that ever since a family brought us brownies when we moved in. It made us feel really great and I want to spread that feeling to everyone and it was a freshman that was moving in. Whoever it was was going to go to Cardinal Mooney High School with me. I was so excited to have some other kids in the neighborhood other than a few ten year olds and some toddlers.
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Underwood. It's great to meet you. I brought some brownies! I just made them last night for you," I said.
"Thank you very much. We really appreciate your kindness, um?" Mrs. Underwood said.
"Adeline. You can just call me Addie or Adeline. My family and I live up the street at 8205. Maybe, after you finish unpacking, you could come to our house for dinner tonight. We're having steak. What do you say?" I asked.
"Yeah. We'd love to come."
Who said that? Maybe it's her brother. Then, out of the darkness, came this boy. And a hot one at that. Wow, he's really cute. Who is he? 'Looks like he might be my age.
"Hey. My name's Justin. Nice to meet you. Are you going to Cardinal Mooney, too?" Justin asked.
"Um, yeah. Well, I'll see you tonight," I blushed.
He grew up in Indianapolis. He's moved around a lot, but his parents promised that this is the last move - at least for four years. He's an only child. He's into video games and football and he's just perfect! And I think he might be into me. I might be into him. Maybe...
I love this!!!!
